Sarah is feeling better!

Sarah has been taking her meds for the last 5 days and boy is she feeling better. Those anti-inflammotories work wonders! She has had the energy to chew through another fence picket and escape. One of our sweet neighbors rang at 11:30 last night to let us know she had our dogs in her basement! Thankfully her dogs also escape all the time!
Between neighborhood kids leaving the fence gate open and Sarah chewing through a picket it is very nerve wracking in regards to the dogs.
I can't wait to get a new fence!

Sarah is a senior!

Our sweet dog Sarah has been limping for the last few days and I finally felt guilty enough to cough up the $$$ to take her to the vet. The dear girl is just feeling her age! Well, thank goodness it's not Lyme disease or a broken bone, but yeah it's fun to pay for vet visit to hear that she's old!!! She's now on some anti-inflammatories and Omega's!

Room Mom Gift

I was the room mom in Joseph's class this year. His teacher got me a little thank you gift of chocolate and wine.

Here's the story:

Mrs. Leonard: Joseph does your Mommy like chocolate?

Joseph: No, she likes wine!

So I got both! LOL

Well I don't drink too often, but I do like it. That crazy boy!

Still in Love!

The Bike Rider

We took Joseph's training wheels off months ago, and that
sort of worried him so he hasn't ridden his bike in forever.
One day a few weeks ago he came into the kitchen with his helmet
and asked me to help him put it one. He then said "I'm going to ride my bike!"
And, He did!
Had a few falls making turns at first, but he was totally riding in about 30 minutes!
Wierd!

Charleston

Brendon and I headed to Charleston for our anniversary a few weeks ago.
There are some pictures below. It's always beautiful there! There were tons of weddings taking place at every church in town that weekend. It was so sweet and romantic! We ate at Fig on Friday and it was yummy! We took a walking tour one day and went to Middleton plantation another. The house you see is not the plantation, that was destroyed mostly by fire in the war and finally an earthquake took it totally out. The house is the gentlemens place. Poor things, I really have no idea how they managed in such tight quarters. We toured the house and gardens and also took a carriage ride around the estate and Sir Ian McKellen was on our carriage (Gandolf in Lord of the Rings!) I will confess I had no idea who he was, but when we got off the carriage Brendon told me! Of course I had to call and check on the rascals when I got the chance! It was a nice weekend!

Dog Delinquents

Our two lovable hounds have really gotten into some bad behaviour lately! On Monday morning at about 5:20AM the phone rang. We were dead asleep, but when the phone rings at that hour it is worrisome. I jumped up and answered it and was suprised when Officer "soandso" from xyz County police department wanted to know if I knew a black lab named Sarah. Um..yes..she's mine. Well, she's out here in my car on the corner of this street and that street, which happens to be right across from my house. So, since I was wearing a night gown with tea cups on it Brendon went out to get them..both dogs were out, but Mavis had managed to loose her collar as well. There were two patrol cars out on the street chasing down my dogs! These guys were young and chatty and if I had been dressed and awake I would have made them coffee. After we got the whole story of my lunatic dogs we started the day.

Yesterday two neighborhood boys came knocking on my door after school and told me the dogs were out again! I went and got them back in the fence.

This morning as I was drinking coffee and getting ready to leave the house I heard voices talking and it was very close, so I looked out the window and there's a neighbor and his daughter dragging my Border Collie to the fence and putting her in. She promptly ran to the hole and got out again along with our lab.

They have somehow managed to escape several times this week and we are not sure how or why. They may have spring fever. They are literally chewing the pickets off the fence and climbing under. Right now they are locked in the screen porch and will REMAIN there until we can figure out what in this world to do with them. I literally have to lock the door because they actually know how to push the handle down to get out if I don't lock it!! Not even kidding! I'm about to pull my hair out!!!

This is the latest picket they have chewed off.

They crawl through this hole! See the new picket we

put on there two days ago! They will not be stopped!!!

Brand new pickets. See how they already

started chewing it?

See the huge beam we had to put behind the fence? See

the hole they are digging? They are insane!

Mavis and Sarah! Do they look BAD???

Isabelle's Birthday Day!

Isabelle woke up early and could hardly wait for Joseph to wake up so she could open her presents! Her Mommy and Daddy finally gave in and got her a Webkinz. In the late afternoon Olivia came over and they played Webkinz together. Isabelle requested Mexican food for her birthday supper and that is what we had! Later we had the birthday cake she picked out. It was very cute! Then we finished up the evening by watching American Idol together. At bedtime we all said a birthday blessing for our sweet honey! Happy Birthday Isabelle!
